Member Rules and Expectations
Loch Earn Sailing Club is a members club that does NOT employ any paid staff. It is up to the individual members to contribute to the overall running of the club, and as such, we require those participating to fulfill some “race duties” during the season to ensure we are all able to race. Individual needs around timing and competence/familiarity can usually be accommodated.
Regular racing sailors should anticipate serving THREE times per season as race committee with casual/leisure sailors serving TWO times. Race committee duties include officer of the day (OOD), assistant-flags, time keeper, safety boat driver, safety boat crew, etc., although these positions have been amended/streamlined since COVID. Email any questions or concerns to committee@lochearnsc.com.
Club Constitution
The constitution sets out what a club can do, what it cannot do, how it must be governed, and how it must operate for its members.
Club Rules and Bye-laws
Written rules that provide information and guidance to members and officers that help ensure compliance with the constitution and contribute to the smooth running of the club.
Members’ Code of Conduct
A set of rules and expectations that outline how members should behave within the club.
