Final Fling RNLI Regatta
September 27 – September 28
The 2025 LESC Final Fling RNLI Regatta will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, for the all fleet with a 1200 start time and on Sunday, September 28, 2025, for the all fleet also with an 1100 start time.
The First and Final Fling Regattas are larger, open racing events with earlier starts and keelboat and dinghy fleets racing on both days and separate starts over the course of a weekend. Like other LESC racing events, these regattas are also run by volunteer officers using the club’s permanent marks depending on conditions.
Registration is required of all competitors and details about the pre-race briefing can be found in the event’s sailing instructions. When possible, volunteers will run a small kitchen with small selections breakfast options and/or soup, baking, and hot and cold beverages available for purchase.
Prizes awarded at the end of racing.
The volunteer race officers are set annually by the Sailing Secretary so that all members contribute. Remember to arrive an hour before the first start if on the duty team and to arrange a swap via DutyMan if you are unable to do your duty.
